"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
This is something we instilled in Trey from a very young age, yes you are on the spectrum but embrace your differences and just be who you are going to be.

Just part of our CFB crew for AMRAP 4 Autism
So many things about this night were perfect that instead of a long somewhat sappy post, here we are and here we go................

The fact that we grew from 8 people last year to 27 participants this year was perfect.
One of our Crossfit "littles" stepped out of her comfort zone and did the event solo and she did an amazing job! We are so proud of you ladybug!
This was Shannon's first crossfit "comp" style event and she rocked it like the rockstar she is! Loved being her partner and watching her work her heart out.
Michael showed up for support and to do the mini events like clean and jerk, front squat and max row but ended up being the MVP for stepping in when someone couldn't show up and busted that AMRAP out! Thanks Michael for being so flexible!
We all got to interact with Dan Bailey who happens to be an amazing athlete but also a really down to earth great guy and I hear he will be back next year. :)
Our "little" gym in Belmont in true Crossfit Belmont style won a banner as a top affiliate gym because we brought so many athletes to play.
And probably one of the biggest was 500 athletes raised $111,000 for the Autism Strong Foundation.
And who could forget our resident tap in, Eric!!!
This was a great night of seeing old friends from other boxes, people I worked with in the past, people my daughter danced with in the past and hanging with my CFB family. When this community comes together and embraces something they really embrace it. This year the mini events was run by the House of Weightlifting and I can see that evolving into something bigger for the years to come and it was awesome to see the heavy hitters out there just to show support. This is also such a family friendly event! Our little mascot, Beck, was a highlight of the evening and I loved being able to spend time with him.
I want to thank Crossfit Belmont for once again rallying behind something so near and dear to my heart. I can't wait to see what next year is like.
peace, love and happiness,
dawn
